We Believe All Patients Deserve the Highest Standard of Care

Take the next step toward a happier, healthier smile today.

To our Distinctive Dental Services of New York, PC Patients:

We look forward to welcoming you back and we hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. We have all been through a lot over the past few months and many things have changed. Our commitment to the safety of our patients and our staff has remained the same.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have noticed it during your visits. Our office follows infection control recommendations of the American Dental Association, the CDC, and OSHA. As you can imagine, infection control has evolved into a “new normal.”

You will see changes when you visit the office. We made these changes and implemented enhanced infection control procedures for the safety of our patients and our staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand and ask some screening questions. You will be asked the same questions when you arrive. We will ask you to call us from the car so we can ask these questions and tell you when to come into the office. That is so appointments can be managed to allow for social distancing from other patients.
  • We ask you to have one parent only with the child/children. We will ask you to leave backpacks and large bags in the car and have phones/wallets that can fit in a small bag or pocket.
  • In accordance with New York State guidance, please wear a face mask or covering and have one for your child/children over the age of 2. There will be hand sanitizer at the door and we request that you use it before entering the office. There will be hand sanitizer around the office as well.
  • We will do a no-touch fever check when you arrive.
  • The reception room will not have magazines or toys. Also, the treatment rooms will not have toys. You are welcome to have your child bring a small not plush toy to the visit.
  • We will allow greater time between patients because our enhanced infection control techniques take more time and require that we wait 20 minutes before treating another patient in that same treatment room.
  • There will be a Covid19 charge of $15 per patient/$30 per family for each visit because of the extraordinary costs of the new equipment and the PPE required for our office. You will see many changes when you arrive.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Just call (516)487-8110 to schedule an appointment or to discuss what steps we have taken with our staff or our doctors.

Thank you for being our patient/s.

We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to our office.
