Dental Anesthesia Division

Dr. Ralph Epstein is a board-certified dentist anesthesiologist certified by the New York State Education Department. Dr. Jane Yi is a dentist anesthesiologist certified and licensed by the state Education Department. Our practice can treat you or your child in our office while "asleep" with the aid of general anesthesia or intravenous sedation and oral sedation. Many patients that require sedation or general anesthesia for treatment or have special needs can be treated at our facility at a more affordable cost than a hospital. At our office your dental care needs are a priority. We schedule your treatment or your child's treatment with sedation or general anesthesia in the morning with our up-to-date monitoring equipment. We use the latest in High-Tech Dental Equipment

Another way our practice strives to provide you with dental care in a comfortable, relaxing environment is our use of high-tech dental care equipment.

Digital Radiography (X-rays with 90% less Radiation)

A new high-tech form of X-rays called digital radiography allows us to show you or your child the results of the X-rays in half the time it takes with conventional X-rays. Your dentist is better able to diagnose dental decay and other problems using digital radiography. Most importantly, these X-rays are taken with 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays.

Anesthesia Monitoring Equipment

For our patients who require treatment with the aid of general anesthesia, intravenous sedation or oral sedation, we use the most up-to-date monitoring equipment. In fact, our office is equipped with the same equipment that is required in a hospital setting. We are also equipped with one of the newest types of monitoring (BIS monitoring) that many hospitals do not use. This BIS monitor allows the anesthesiologist to administer anesthesia to an ideal level, assuring to the best ability, that the patient will have no recall of the procedure and will wake up rapidly following the end of the procedure. Our Child-Friendly Waiting Room

Both parent and child can relax as your child awaits for his or her exam. Our waiting room features popular children's movies for their viewing as they wait. Are they feeling a little more active? Our waiting room also features a two-story playhouse with a variety of activities to keep their active minds busy.
